NORTH ZONE is an area that is approximately north geographical of the total area to which it refers. In the case of Chile, the northern zone begins at the border with Peru (Tacna-Arica) and reaches Copiapó, 806 kms from Santiago, center of the central zone. The area remains north, regardless of where the observer is.
